Luck of the Irish

For St Patrick’s Day I though I’d change things up and talk about Dublin, Ireland. I have to say this is one of my favourite layovers. There is so much to see and do and I’m by no means an expert but hope to give you a few ideas because when all is open for us to travel I’d highly recommend a trip to the land of Guinness, 4 leaf clovers and leprechauns.

A trip to Dublin would not be complete without a visit to the Guinness Museum.

My husband Steve joined me on a layover. We did a special tour which included a wonderful history lesson as well as practicing “the pour”.  We even got a certificate at the end to show that we graduated from the Guinness Academy!

One of my favourite pubs ever is The Brazen Head.  One of the oldest pubs in Europe(1198), it has a vibe that oozes Irish culture.  Live music nightly will make you want to dance a jig and sing to the rafters! Not to be missed and not to be forgotten.

Trinity College is another place rich in history. The Trinity Library is stunning and much more photogenic than I am.  I guarantee you will spend and hour snapping shot of the rows and columns of ancient books. 

My next stop would be Grafton Street.  Always reminds me of Ed Sheeran’s song “Galoway Girl” cuz he talks about this Street.  It’s a walking street in Dublin and if you’re lucky enough you’ll be able to shop while listening to talented street musicians.  And of course a stop at Marks and Sparks is a must!!!
